Our online chess club now has 21 members and is open for more. How to join: see at foot of this post.
Tonight’s event
Another good evening with 14 players taking part in our 6-round Swiss rapidplay.
Winner was Tom Leah (pictured) with an unassailable 6 wins from 6 games.
Joint 2nd were Paul May and Paul Johnson with 4½ each.
Next events
Sunday 10 May at 3pm: we play Leeds University in a 12-board online rapidplay match. The same opponent is played twice, once with each colour. Each player has 30 minutes on the clock per game.
Wed 13 May at 7pm: Online Clubnight – all welcome. This will be a Swiss 6-round competition with 15 minutes on the clock per player.
