A surprise Umpire’s Review (as you might call it) of the handicap points means that Limewood Mini 2 team actually won their match on 16 December instead of drawing.
The team captains had misunderstood the (rather obscure) rules regarding “new” players and so had overstated our Andrew Pollard’s grade when calculating the team handicap points.
The result, as now shown on ‘Chessnuts’, is that Limewood M2 won by 3 points to 2. The team is now at the top of the Mini League table, along with Alwoodley M1, both teams having 9 points.
A great way to head into the Xmas/New Year break!
