Six of our seven entrants for the Ellis and Appleby trophies were in action at Alwoodley, our 7th entrant being on holiday.
Almost all of them were playing ‘uphill’, so to speak, but they managed 1 win and 2 draws which made quite a respectable result.
After 4 rounds, Philip May is the front runner of our little band with 2½ points, 3 others have 2 points and the remaining 3 have 1½ points.
Only one more round to go, but it doesn’t look as though any of our lot will be taking home one of these ‘individual’ trophies this year.
