Welcome!

We welcome chess players of all strengths, whether novice or experienced.

We meet at the Fox & Grapes Inn (LS15 4NJ) on the York Road A64 at Kiddal Lane End.

We started in 2014 with a single team in the main Leeds League and a single team in the Mini League. This year we have 11 teams across the whole array of competitions and are one of the Big Four clubs in the Leeds League. There is a team place assured for anyone who wants to play.

Paul May, Club Captain

We charge no club fees! But playing in Leeds Chess Association matches requires ECF membership of at least bronze level (currently £18 pa).

Matches are played on Wednesday evenings starting at 7pm.
